Sleepy Creek Labradoodles

Here at Countryside all of our puppies are born in our house. We have a bedroom that joins our master bedroom that we have turned into a puppy nursery so that we can provide extra love and attention to are pregnant mothers. At about 14 days before time to whelp the mothers are bought into the nursery for around the clock care. All litters are born with me right by moms side for reassurance and help if needed.

Mom and puppies remain in the nursery until about 4 to 5 weeks of age. They get accustomed to many different household sounds. (Examples: showers running, washer + dryer noises, vacuum, people, music, TV and many others). Each individual puppy is handled everyday from the time it is born till the puppy goes to it’s new home. At about 4 to 5 weeks of age the puppies are then transferred to the outdoor kennel where the puppies learn to use the doggie dog and learn to relieve themselves out doors. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, IT MAKES HOUSEBREAKING VERY EASY! At this time puppies learn about outdoor sounds. (Other dogs, car noises, different weather conditions etc.) Buy this time puppies are excited about exploring and playing and the daily handling sessions get more fun for us. (Because puppies can run and play and start forming their own personalities) Around 6 weeks the puppies are fully weaned from their mothers and eating well and they are learning to be independent.

Once your application has been approved and a puppy is available you will receive:

Picture of litter at birth.

Picture of litter at 2 weeks.

Picture of litter at 4 weeks.

Picture of your puppy at about 6 ½ weeks.

Picture of puppy 8 weeks and every two weeks till pick up.

At 6 months and 1 year you will get a survey to answer and send back along with a picture of your dog.
